In case you haven't heard, bananas have been trending in the plant based movement on social media. They have been revolutionizing a classic dessert with over 1,400 years of documented history. Classic ice cream has been shaped by Chinese innovation, Middle Eastern sherbets, and Italian culinary kitchens. Bananas are doing that with Nice cream, a raw and simple fruit based ice cream. Who knew that God could design a perfect fruit that could mimic the richness, sweetness, and texture of dairy based desserts?
Nice cream allows you have your "cake" and eat it too. How so?
This raw and real food innovative dessert transforms traditional ice cream into a completely guilt-free dessert. With Nice cream, you can savor every single bite without compromising any of your health goals. In fact, Nice cream can help you reach your health goals faster with nutrition. How exaclty does a dessert do that? Below we compare both Nice cream and traditionally made ice cream. After doing so, prepare to go bananas lol. Especially if you are an ice cream lover!
Nutrient Density — Nice cream contains fiber, potassium, vitamin B6. Ice cream contains no real nutrition and is acidic for the body which leads to inflammation.
Processing Levels — Nice cream is whole fruit. Ice cream is ultra‑processed and barley any real food ingredients. Marketers try to fool you by stating their brands contain "real ingredients" but that just means less ingredients, not healthy ones.
Fiber Intake - Nice cream is based on real fruit so its rich in whole fiber. Most people are deficient in fiber. Ice cream has literally no fiber whatsoever, or trace.
Sugar Impact — Nice cream contains whole fruit sugars, which come with nutrients and fiber in the right proportions. Ice cream is filled with refined sugars and include ingredients that come from a lab.
Digestive Load — Nice cream is an enzyme rich raw fruit so its easily digested efficiently. Ice cream is all dairy, heavy cream, processed sugars, emulsifiers, stabilizers, and additives. Fats slow digestion; fruit has almost none, so it passes the digestive tract more quickly.
Energy Impact - Fruit gives quick energy because it digests rapidly. Ice cream can drain your energy because fat + dairy slows everything down internally. This is why people can feel energized after fruit and sluggish after ice cream
Easy to Make — Nice cream is so easy to make. Simply chop and freeze bananas overnight. That's it! Making it requires no special equipment beyond a blender. Dethaw bananas for 15 minutes, then blend on low speed with flavors you want.
Budget - As you can see in the chart below, Nice cream is much more affordable than regular Ice cream. Most ice creams are expensive, even popsicles. Besides denting your bank, they dent your health with way refined sugars and fat.
Dessert | Cost per Serving | Ingredients | Processing |
Banana Nice Cream | $0.25–$0.40 | 1–2 whole foods | Raw, unprocessed, just blended |
Dairy Ice Cream | $1.00–$3.00 | 12–25 ingredients | Industrial, pasteurized, refined |

Vanilla Nice Cream Recipe:
7 large ripened bananas, with brown spots, peeled and chopped
1 teaspoon Mexican vanilla
1/3 cup to 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
Pinch of salt for emphasizing the flavors (optional)
In a plastic container with a lid, freeze the bananas for 8-10 hours or overnight.
Before blending, allow the bananas to dethaw for about 30 minutes.
Using a fork, break apart the frozen bananas.
Add the milk, vanilla, and salt into your blender first. Then add all of the frozen chunks of bananas.
Blend on low speed the entire time. Use a tamper to keep pushing down the bananas until you get a thick and chunky texture mixed with smooth.
Scrape out the nice cream into your container and place back into the freezer for about an hour. This helps to set the new texture of your recipe.

Chocolate Sauce Recipe:
2 ripe bananas
2 large Medjool dates, soaked in 1/2 cup water
1 heaping tablespoon cocoa or carob
3-5 tablespoons of water
1/2 teaspoon Mexican vanilla
1/3 teaspoon cinnamon
just a pinch of Chinese 5 spice
dash of salt (we mix Himalayan pink salt with iodized)
Mince pitted dates and soak them in water for at least 30 minutes.
Using a spoon and the water, smash the dates into a sauce like texture, getting as much of the lumps out as possible. This is a sauce so we don't want any bits of texture. Blending dates can sometimes still leave you with tiny bits. By taking this extra step, you avoid that.
Add all ingredients into your blender, including the smashed dates. Start blending on low speed, gradually building up to avoid splattering the ingredients to the sides. Texture should be creamy.
To serve, simply scoop some Nice cream into a bowl. Pour some sauce over that and top with any other ingredients you would like. Enjoy! 🍧
If in the Bible, fruit represents our spiritual health and growth, surely actual fruit for our physical health will help us on that path because we become what we eat: physically, mentally, and spritually.
